Advent Conspiracy 2018
Worship Fully | Spend Less | Give More | Love All
Watch for an announcement on our 2018 project in late November!
We SPEND LESS by resisting the cultural pressure to celebrate Advent through over-spending and over-consumption. Instead, we GIVE MORE! That is, we give relational, thoughtful, and meaningful gifts. We then take the money we saved and LOVE ALL by giving to those in true need. In all of this, we strive to WORSHIP FULLY by keeping our focus on Jesus and participating with Him in what He came to do, bringing hope to a desperate world.
December 8 at 6 pm (Gym): International Christmas Potluck
Celebrate Christmas with friends from around the world! Please bring a dish of food to share. This would be a great time to bring food that would be part of a celebration in your country of origin!
December 10 at 6 pm (Gym): Prime Timers Christmas Banquet
Seniors, we’re celebrating Christmas with a great meal together! Dave and Julie Acree will be sharing. The meal will catered by Trabers.
Tickets are $20 each and will be available:
• At the Prime Timers meeting on November 16
• November 25 and December 2 following the 9:15 am service
• Or contact Bonnie at 403.634.8299
December 11: HSM Fast Food Crawl & December 12: MSM Fast Food Crawl
Bring $20 and come on out for supper and shopping for donations to Harbour House. Don’t forget: We meet from 6-9 pm for the Fast Food Crawl! Half of the cost goes toward buying gifts for clients of Harbour House, the other half goes to your meal. Contact Levi or Jared for details (329.3125). (Gluten free and Dairy Free options will be made available.) Drop off and pick up will be at the church. We will be using Carefree buses for the driving.
