The mission of the Poverty Intervention Committee is to provide basic food and clothing items to students in need within the Lethbridge School Division. Using a centralized referral systems, schools and teachers are able to make specific requests in order to support the students within their care. The goal is to not provide a “favour to” , but rather “a coming alongside” in order to not only provide for the physical needs at hand, but also build respect and dignity.
