Compassion seeks to release children from poverty in Jesus name. Compassion’s Youth Development program helps sponsored adolescents discover their gifts and passions, while supporting their pursuit of development opportunities that will best equip them to earn a sustainable living. These opportunities include formal education (college/university), non-formal education (vocational training/apprenticeships), and income-generating training (micro-enterprises/finance principles).
Enruta works in partnership with local Nicaraguan churches to run the annual Metamorfosis Youth Conference. Metamorfosis literally means to change into something completely different. This is exactly the intent of the youth conference, as it is focused on reaching youth in the La Concha region with the gospel, as well as encouraging young Christians to grow and share their faith. Hundreds of youth attend this event, some travelling great distances, so that they can be exposed to strong teaching, uplifting music, and loving community. The hope is that these young people will be linked to a local church where they can journey with others in Christian faith.
Truth Matters Ministries serve youth, youth workers, and parents of youth across Canada. They exist to help the next generation see and experience the truth of Jesus Christ. Truth Matters accomplishes this by inspiring youth through the Gospel, equipping youth leaders to better love and serve youth for the sake of the kingdom, and informing parents about key cultural and developmental issues that youth are facing. They pursues this vision through speaking events, the creation of resources, and an annual Canadian Youth Workers conference.
