Don Bergen was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. where his parents still reside. Don married Myrna Falk, the younger sister of a good friend Don made while in Bible College from Crystal City, MB. Don and Myrna have been married 32 years and their family consisted of 2 boys, Matt and Luke, and has recently grown to include 2 daughters through marriage.
Don enjoys sports and spent many years playing competitive softball and curling. He also enjoys a meal over the campfire as well as the fellowship, and he especially loves hearing testimonies of how God is leading and working in the lives of people.
After graduating from Bible College Don & Myrna spent 3 years in Vancouver where Don served as an Associate Pastor. They then returned to Winnipeg to begin a family and Don spent the next 24 years working in Production Management.
After reading Bill Hybels “Holy Discontent” Don realized a call on his life to stop complaining and start addressing the lack of discipleship he saw in the church. Don has spent the past 7 years in ministry and mission in Southern Alberta and is currently serving as Associate Director of Small Groups. He also does contract work for Correction Services Canada, bookkeeping, and retains a shift at the Men’s Home he directed prior to coming on staff.
