We are called to help others and serve with the gifts we have been blessed with.
This is a great opportunity for our city to experience the love of God in a tangible way.
We are actively working with My City Care and both Food Banks to serve our City.
We are partnering with MyCityCare, and our city’s two foodbanks, to address the emergency needs of people in our city; This includes vulnerable populations such as seniors, those experiencing homelessness, and children living in poverty.
We strongly encourage you to look in to ways you can be supporting our community by donating your time and money to our partner organizations within the city.
There are many areas where we can provide assistance!
One of my “all-time favorite passages” in the Bible is found in Philippians one. Here Paul is writing to some of his friends who are believers that he longs to return to. His warm memories of their time together, and his gratefulness for their recent financial gift...
Prayer is the Mother of all transformation. "Necessity is the mother of invention" is an English-language proverb. It means, roughly, that when the need for something becomes imperative, you are forced to find ways of getting or achieving it. In our current...
Up until now, we’ve been talking about how Lent helps us connect to the story of God and his people. Lent helps us identify with God’s work through history. Lent also reminds us that Jesus identifies with us. Right after Jesus’ baptism the Spirit led...
When I was younger, I enjoyed getting my brother and sisters in trouble. I’m sure none of you can relate to that! I was pretty good at it, too. I knew what buttons to push to get them to react. As an adult, I don’t try to get people in trouble anymore but...

I’m an impatient fixer. When I see a problem, I want to fix it – right away. This shows up in my relationship with God: I know he can fix anything and he could fix it right away so I grow impatient with him: why won’t he do something? Why...
One of the purposes of Lent is to connect ourselves with God’s people and their (our) story. The first time 40 days is mentioned in God’s story is in the Noah story. Remember, the human race had become so wicked that ‘the Lord regretted that he had made...
Today is Ash Wednesday – the beginning of Lent. Today many Christians all around the world will kneel in churches and be marked with an ashy cross on their foreheads. Depending on their tradition, they will either hear the words: ‘Repent and believe the...
