Community Groups

Intentional, authentic relationships with are vital to your spiritual growth, understanding what it means to be part of God’s family, and engaging in Jesus’ mission.

Community Groups are drawn together by proximity – whether that’s a neighbourhood, a shared interest, or similar stage of life. These mid-sized groups are usually larger than what we would typically know as a ‘small group’, meet about once a month, and are focused on being an welcoming space for people to bring neighbours and friends with similar interests.

We want all our Community Groups to Focus on:

!

UP

Using thought-provoking questions and discussion to introduce those who don’t follow Jesus to the idea that we can have a relationship with God.

/

in

Acting as a catalyst for deeper relationships where we help one another follow Jesus better.

Out

Finding ways to serve our city and working together to make a difference in Southern Alberta.

How this is lived out will look different from group to group. However, the goal of each group is the same:

to create the most conducive environment for discipleship and mission.

We also have Small groups. These groups, usually made up of 8-10 people, Gather intentionally and regularly to grow deeper through studying the Bible, sharing life, and praying for one another. Our sMall groups Usually follow a print or video-based curriculum.

ALPHA

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. There’s no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it’s just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

A 12-week group starting Monday, September 16 from 6:30–8:30 pm

Each evening includes a free meal and a 30-minute, thought-provoking video, followed by a small group discussion.

Meet at the church for the first session. In the following weeks, you’ll meet with your small group, usually at your leader’s home.

JOIN A COMMUNITY GROUP

If you are currently in a small group or life group, you are already in a Community Group! Ask your leader how you can help create intentional relational environments for discipleship and mission.
