Today I was reflecting on Psalm 91. I love the way that it brought me straight to the shelter of the Most High God.

The Psalmist says, “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  This I declare about the Lord:  He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust in Him.”

The four names of God here are a great reminder of the all-sufficiency of our Heavenly Father.  He is called: Most High, Almighty, LORD (Yahweh), and God. There is no one greater.  We can put our full confidence in Him.

I am thankful that even amid the crazy, heart-breaking or difficult situations we find ourselves in right now our Most high God protects us under His “shadow.” He is our refuge and our place of safety!

In the midst of the trials and difficulties my family has been going through over the past little while God is still our shelter, our refuge and strength. In this hope we find encouragement to trust and rest.  God continues to be our shelter, refuge, and strength.

As ambassadors for Christ not only are we able to walk in this hope, but we can introduce other to this great sustaining hope.  May the love of Christ compel us to introduce others to the one in whom we can find true peace and rest.
